spring is here!

Spring in Minnesota means mowing the lawn. On a good day, it takes Matthew 3 hours to cut and the boys love riding with him so much that they often ride with him the whole time. This makes Mommy ONE-HAPPY-MOMMY! Three hours to do whatever I need too and in mid May that was most likely sleeping as I had a little over a month to go before Baby boy #3 arrived!

Here are the three of them mowing the lawn one of the first times of the season.

Our first big thunderstorm. It was absolutely beautiful in contrast with the lilac bushes, or should I say, our lilac forest...but that's a different story!

Finn is getting to the point where he wants to know more about thunderstorms so we sat on the front porch and watched this one come in and listened as the wind picked up and the rain drops started coming down. It was beautiful and a wonderful memory with Finn.

I will forever regret letting the boys play in the mud THIS ONE DAY. All it took was one day for them to learn how fun mud can be.  I have spent the rest of the summer telling them to stay out of the mud. It's gotten to the point where if they are near water and they hear the back door open, they run from the water or anything that resembles something wet!

They sure were cute though all covered in mud...
