seriously, more snow?

I remember saying these words out loud when I heard another blizzard was coming. Matthew ended up inviting a youth pastor friend, Cody, from Grand Forks out with his son so that they could hunker down and stay with us through the blizzard while his wife was in Fargo.

So, the blizzard started and by 10 pm you couldn't see a few feet in front of you. In the morning we awoke to at least 10 inches of new snow.

Cody called the senior pastor of the church that he was supposed to lead youth group at that night and asked what the protocol was for cancelling youth group. The senior pastor said that they wouldn't be cancelling youth group over just an inch of snow. Turns out, Grand Forks only got a dusting and we, being 30 miles south, got over 10 inches! Ummm...can we say "NO FAIR!"

Our 10+ inches on Matthew's car.

What do you do when you're snowed in? Make chocolate chip cookies and take pictures!

It didn't end up being a totally bad thing being snowed in. The guys were able to dig the cars out and by late afternoon our very nice neighbor down the road came with a snow plow and dug the rest of the driveway out. And he got warm chocolate chip cookies for saving us!
