On Saturday Finley started copying the sound of da-da. Matthew came home 30 minutes later. Finley and I were waiting by the door to surprise daddy with this first word. I told Matthew to listen to what Finley had to tell him. I said da-da first and then Finley's mouth started moving and then finally the sound came. Barely audible, but definitely a da-da sound. Matthew stood there for a minute speechless and so happy just watching Finley form this first, special word for him. What an unforgettable moment that was! I've been working with Finley on saying ma-ma but I'm so happy that his first word was da-da.

Congratulation! I'm so excited that you got this on video, but even before I watched it, I started tearing up. Hormones!!! Keep working on it. Next comes "B, B, B," right?
