don't eat leaves, finley

Finley loves to eat leaves...or attempt to eat them depending on if I catch him fast enough or not. He now thinks that if he just touches it to his tongue but doesn't put the whole thing in his mouth it is somehow okay. He doesn't especially love it when I go digging through his mouth trying to find the leaf that he just put in there, so when I tell him not to eat the leaf, he sticks his tongue out and just licks it. That way, if I start walking toward him to dig it out, he can spit it out and look totally innocent by the time I get there. Rocks...well, that's another story. Those are still too much fun to just lick.

Monday night, Matthew and I took Finley to the park to play in the rocks. I would like to say that we went to the park to swing and slide and play on the monkey bars, but Finley is all boy and just plays in the rocks and dirt. Here are a couple of pictures of Finley hating the swings.




Matthew got Finley to hold onto the monkey bars and he loved just hanging there. His arms are so strong!


Later that night. Monday was a busy day for us. We went on 3 walks throughout the day, played in the pool in the afternoon and then at the park that evening. He was wiped out!

Finley was 10 months old yesterday when these pictures were taken. Here he is waiting for me to come and push him in his Tonka truck. He started out pushing it around the yard, but then he ended up climbing in wanting to me to push him around the yard.


How can I resist this sweet, little face???
